Lap Swim

Adult Lap Swim
Hours:  7:00am - 8:45am
Dates: June 6, 2022 - August 5, 2022 (Monday - Friday)
Lap Swim Pass: $30 or $1 daily drop in fee
Lap Swim Etiquette:
Pick an empty lane if possible; if not watch and see who swims about the same speed as you. 
Never get into an occupied lane without letting the person swimming know you are entering. You can do this by dangling your legs into the water or by standing to the side of the lane where they're turning.  Decide if you're going to split the lane or do circle swimming. 
If you need to stop, take your break on the wall, not in the swimming lane.
In 2022 we will designate one lap as a walking lane. 
Deep Water Exercise
 Deep water exercise provides an opportunity to receive a cardiovascular workout without impact on the joints. Water buoyancy supports your weight and moving through the water provides resistance and strengthening of the muscles.  This opportunity is self-led.

Deep water exercisers MUST purchase a lap swim pass at the BCRC office in order to be eligible for deep water exercise. 
Evening Water Aerobics
This water fitness program is held in the diving well of the pool and provides a no-impact but challenging cardiovascular workout. Participants will use flotation belts and styrofoam barbells to perform a variety of motions including water walking and running, abdominal work and toning exercises. This class is designed to burn fat and increase cardiovascular fitness, range of motion and muscle tone.
